Disappointed!!! Nov 12, 2010
By Asian Dude First of all, I wanted a golf-size automatic folding umbrella, like the previous one I used, I thought that 48" was already golf sized, but I was mistaken, so my mistake. 48" is only for personal use umbrellas.
The good: - The mechanism is very good! It is extremely smooth to open and close. Great worksmanship! - The fabric is excellent. Smooth and classy, and the color and texture is great!
The bad: - The wooden handle is extremely easy to scratch. Every drop leaves a mark. It was beautiful to look at brand new, but in using it leaves white scratch marks against the lacquered handle. - The vented canopy canopy design causes rain to drip in to you. In light drizzle, the umbrella operates nicely. But in heavier rain, the surface of the umbrella would get wet and when you hold the umbrella a little bit sideways, the rain from the outer portion would drip into the inside through the vents. This is extremely disappointing as I often get wet and would have to adjust to center my hold and prevent this drip. What the hell!!!

Excellent umbrella stores in small space May 23, 2010
By Therese L. Shellabarger
"Roving Reporter"
This is the perfect umbrella for most users (I can't think of anyone it wouldn't be perfect for, except maybe a few ultra finicky ones) -- wind resistant construction, check, beautifully sized wood handle with curve for hanging on racks, back of bus seats, umbrella stands, check, excellent workmanship overall, check. This is even better than a certain famous golf umbrella because it folds up and the handle is the perfect size for hands, whereas said other umbrella possesses neither feature. It even has a well-designed release button to open with a snap when you want it to, and not beforehand. I'd say buy it. You'll never regret the decision.
So far so good... Aug 30, 2010
By R. Lanthier This umbrella has not gotten much of a workout yet, but it is well constructed, lifetime warranted, small in size when closed, and the ShedRain company is headquartered in Portland, OR. You have to trust an umbrella from an Oregon company - they know rain!
